Uncle Joe’s Peer Counseling serves WashU undergraduate students in St. Louis. Counselors, a.k.a. Joes, are available by phone and in person during semesters.

Uncle Joe’s peer counselors  

  • Receive 100+ hours of training 
  • Are confidential: members of Uncle Joe’s will not disclose any information about a student’s identity or situation UNLESS the student is a danger to themself or others.  
  • Are here to listen and there’s no issue too small to talk about  
  • Are trained on a range of issues that members of our community may face:
    • Grief
    • Mental health
    • Adjustment
    • Eating disorders
    • Identity
    • Sexual health
    • Relationship concerns
    • Addiction
    • Self harm
    • And more
  • Provide campus and community resources
