If you choose to consume cannabis…

Choose a lower potency

  • Smoking/vaping: <10% (100 mg/g) THC
  • Edibles: <10 mg THC (if you are newer to edibles, <2.5mg).
    • Be sure to wait 30–120 minutes to feel the effects before consuming more.

Limit frequency of consumption

  • Consume occasionally: 1–2 days a week or less

Use a trusted source

  • Ask yourself: where is the product from? Do you trust the accuracy of the label?

Consider a tolerance break

  • Tolerance refers to needing more of a substance to feel the effects. It is possible to reset tolerance by taking a tolerance break (t-break) from cannabis.
